My name is Sharon lamb and I live on the Mid North Coast of NSW in Australia. I have a studio located in the small eclectic town of Gladstone. After 25yrs as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, I not only had a sea change but a career change. After intensive photography study on the Gold Coast I realised that a career in regular photography was not for me. I proceeded to create my own style of light painting photography whilst learning about other techniques and then incorporating this new found knowledge.
I live by the quote “ Simplicity is the ultimate in sophistication” quoted by Leonardo Da Vinci. Due to the unusual nature of my photography, I decided on a business name that represents something exotic and unique, so hence Scheherezade Photography was born in 2012.
All light painting photography uses long exposures of varying times depending on the complexity of the image. To produce a light painting artwork there can be no ambient light in the studio, thus any light introduced is the only light reflected in the photographs. My artworks are then baked into metal for a high end product perfect for commercial spaces. They can be used as artworks or enlarged to form dividers, shower walls or splash backs in restaurants, boutique cafes, bars and hotels.
My creative flair ensures that each light painting I produce is an original, beautiful, piece of artwork.
